Types of Commissions:

A Standard Portrait Commission – this includes self portraits, portraits of loved ones/family members.  For this kind of commission, I will either paint from an existing photo of good quality or I will take a series of photos of the sitter (included in the price of the commission).

A Themed Commission – this is especially satisfying for me because I get to stretch my imagination, as well as the client’s.  The client comes up with a theme/idea/look/or feeling for a particular painting which we then capture together.  The subject matter can come from existing images and photos of the clients and /or I will choose appropriate reference material for the painting.

Portrait Sizes: Clients generally choose from the standard-size canvases listed below.  However, if you prefer a larger canvas or have a non-standard shape in mind, please contact me for more details.  Standard Canvas Sizes:

• 11″ x 14″
• 12″ x 16″
• 14″ x 18″
• 16″ x 20″
• 18″ x 24″

Fees and Payment Schedule: My fee is paid in two parts.

• 30% is paid after the first consultation, upon signing of a contract, and covers initial material costs and labour.
• The full balance of 70% is due upon delivery of the completed painting.
